Kids with life-threatening medical conditions dream of a better day. A day when they are not feeling so sick. A day when they can enjoy being with family and friends instead of being stuck inside a hospital. A day of pure fun.

We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Our Wish Next Door Campaign

We are reaching out to individuals, businesses, schools and organizations in the 15 Counties we serve, so that we can grant the wishes of children in those regions. We are fulfilling the wishes of children in your community. You may already know a family member, friend, co-worker or neighbour whose child has experienced a wish. Join us, and you could help grant a wish next door to you!

Currently we're working with over 100 families at various stages of the wish process, and your support is essential in order for us to grant these wishes. Created to give our community special insight into the joyful experience of a child's wish come true, through the Wish Next Door campaign donors may make a contribution of any size towards helping wishes come true in Southwestern Ontario.  Or, with a minimum amount of $8000, donors may fully sponsor a child’s wish. 

How to Get Involved

There are many ways individuals, businesses, schools and organizations can help us fulfill children's wishes:

• Make a donation by phone, by mail or online at www.makeawish.ca/wishnextdoor.
• Create a “Friends & Family Page” on www.makeawish.ca/wishnextdoor, and invite your friends, family and co-workers to donate.
• Become a monthly donor through our Monthly Magic program.
• Hold a fund raising event.
• Conduct an employee payroll deduction program at your workplace and invite your company to make a corporate match.
• Encourage your child's school to participate in our Kids for Wish Kids ^® program.
• Sponsor a child's wish through our Adopt-A-Wish ^® program to make a positive and immediate impact on the life of a wish child
• Form a “Giving Circle” to combine donations with other area individuals or businesses, so that you may sponsor a wish together.
• Honour a loved one with a tribute or memorial gift.
• Consider a planned gift, to help grant the wishes of tomorrow.
• Connect us with an individual, business, Chamber of Commerce, organization or service club you know that might be interested in learning more about the Make-A-Wish Foundation^®.
